Privacy & file handling

Images, PDFs, captions and QR content

Image conversion, resizing, QR generation, PDF work and caption counting run in your browser. The files and text you select are not uploaded to the OviTools server for processing. You can use the public tools without creating an account.

Temporary files and 24-hour cleanup

The website includes a protected temporary-storage folder for future server-side tools. Any temporary file placed there is removed once it is older than 24 hours when the scheduled cleanup job runs. The current browser-based tools do not put your files in that folder.

For cPanel, schedule php /path/to/public_html/cron/cleanup.php to run hourly. See the installation guide for details.

Optional accounts

If you sign up, OviTools stores your email address, a password hash, account role and the names and times of tools you use while signed in. It does not store the files processed by those tools. Account data is stored in the website’s private storage folder.

Ads and cookies

Ad spaces are empty until the site owner adds advertising code. When populated, an ad provider may use its own cookies or collect data under its own policy. Review that provider’s privacy terms before enabling its code.
