Using Screen Recorder
This tool processes the selected media in the browser on your device. Video edits are encoded with the formats available in the current browser, usually WebM; MP4 is offered only when the browser supports MP4 recording.
- Choose a tab, window or full screen in the browser sharing dialog. Stop sharing to finish the recording.
- Screen capture requires a secure connection and is supported by desktop browsers; your browser may limit audio capture.

Does the recorder start capturing before I allow it?+
No. It asks for camera or screen access only after you press the start button. You can stop the recording from the page or browser sharing controls.
Where is my recording saved?+
The browser prepares a download on your device. OviTools does not upload the recording.
Which format does the recording use?+
The recorder uses the format exposed by your browser, commonly WebM. Available recording formats vary by browser.
